When I first met Verena & Carl it was clear what they felt for each other. Having met in Germany years before they have had plenty of time to get to know each other and grow together. Yet it was also clear that getting married was not just a formality. The whole event was very intimate with a small group of friends and family from Sweden, Germany and elsewhere, gathered at Sands Hotell in Sandhamn in the Stockholm Archepalego.
Sandhamn is one of the more developed islands in the archipelago and for a good reason. It is an amazing place for a wedding, with both beaches and a small town that gives you the feeling of being both on a beach holiday and in a picturesque fishing village at the same time.
The day of the wedding, it was so windy that the original place for the ceremony had to be moved to one of the beaches on the other side of the island, where we could find shelter for the wind. Most of the portraits also had to be taken indoors after the ceremony. During the evening, the wind calmed down and we snuck out in the sunset for some more portraits before the party started.
I can truly recommend Sandhamn and especially Sands Hotell for a wedding.
